Cody was Hit by a Car

For those of you who know my family, I have a 15 year old nephew, name Cody Allridge. He was crossing the street in front of a school bus that was slowing. Unfortunately, the bus hadn't turned it's flashers on yet and an SUV came around the opposite side and hit Cody. He was thrown out in front of the car. The driver was a teacher and immediately got out and got a blanket and put it over him until the ambulance arrived. He was life flighted to the hospital. He has a broken Femur bone(the bone between your hip and your knee). It is the strongest bone in your body and the hardest to break, which makes it the most painful to break. They are in surgery right now and will check on his knee while they are in there too. Please keep him in your prayers. We hope for the best in his recovery.

I am Pregnant!

So Last Sunday, I found out that I am Pregnant. I am ecstatic of course. I went to the Dr. today just to confirm things, and it was true. Everything went really good with my exam. My tentative due date is September 16th, the day before my brother, Golden's, b-day. So I am 6 weeks along and I have an ultrasound scheduled for 2 week from tomorrow, Feb. 5th. So I am anxious to see that it is just one baby:) I think twins would kill me:) Anyway, I know it is still early but I can't wait to share good news:)

The English's in Colorado

Friday the 18th, Heather and James, came to visit me. I was so excited because Heather and I havr been Close cousins practically from the womb, although, i do like to remind her that she is 6 months older then me. Remember when we were kids and being younger was a bad thing?:) Anyway, we went to lunch at a place called The Elephant Bar. It's really good food in a saffari type atmosphere. I love it, and Heather and James really liked it too. Bailey's especially likes the Giant Elephant busting through the wall. She made Heather take her up to see it a few times:) We only got to hang out for a few hours but it was still really fun to see them, i always manage to laugh when i am with Heather:) Thanks for thinking of me guys:)

Potty Training

So I bought Bailey some Disney Princess underwear for Christmas and I tried to start potty training her right after. Well, needless to say, she peed on the floor about 5 times and pooped once on the floor. So i decided she must just not be ready, she is only 2, right? Well, last Friday, on a whim i decided i would try again, but this time i told her that I would paint her nails if she went on the potty all day. You know what, she did it! She had a couple accidents, but all in all, she did great. So that was the end of diapers. She has been wearing "Big Girl" underwear for a week and i couldn't be happier! She does still have to wear a diaper at night, but that will come with time. If anyone has suggestions on how to make her stay dry at night, I would love some advice:) I left her with Matt last night, so I could go to my Enrichment planning meeting, and he said she wouldn't go potty for him, until he held her down on the potty and she finally went. So, I told him that he just needs to be more involved with the process:) I guess I'll have to leave her with him more often:):)

Bailey wearing her Little Mermaid Underwear:) She loves them so much!

Bailey wearing her Dora underwear that she picked out herself! She is so funny!

Poor kid, she is going to kill me someday when she finds out that I posted this picture:)

5 Year Anniversary

Matt & I had our 5 year anniversary on the 27th of December. It was snowing all day and Matt was slammed with work, but we managed to find some time for each other. Luckily Matt's Dad and step-mom came down and they offered to babysit so we could go out to dinner. We decided to go to the Olive Garden. I got a virgin strawberry daiquiri and Chicken Alfredo, and Matt got a pizza:) Everything was so good, and our waitress even brought us a piece of tieramusu(?) with a candle in it, and had a whole group of servers sing to us. It was pretty funny, Matt was embarrassed i am sure:) All in all it was a great night. I am so happy to be married to such a wonderful man. I often have to remind myself how grateful i am to have such a sweet man in my life and such a beautiful little girl. I love my family, and 5 years has flown by. I look forward to the next 5:)
