Catch up

So I am a slacker on my blog and have left out many fun and crazy things that have gone on this month...First we went to Matt's family cabin in Sweetwater CO. It was really fun since we got to be there with 2 of his sister's families and his dad and step mom.

Memorial Day 2008

Here is Bailey before we left to go to Matt's sister's for a BBQ. She looked so cute with her little braids:) We had a pretty good time visiting and eating. the kids did good for a while, until nap time was way over due and they wanted to kill each other. Needless to say, we left shortly after that and Bailey crashed in the car immediately. I love Holidays!

My New Hair Cut!

So, you know when you are pregnany, you are not suppossed to dye you hair? Well, i get antsy. My hair was driving me crazy. It was too long and my root were grown out like 10 ft. So about a week ago, I decided it was time. I cut got my hair cut short in an A line bob. Let me know if you like it:)

My New Nephew

Porter Douglas Stephenson is finally here! Golden and his wife Carly were due on May 16th, but the little guy wouldn't cooperate, he came this morning at around 10 am:) He weighed 8 pounds 6 1/2 ounces, and was 21 inches long. Poor Carly, that is a big baby:) I can't tell you how excited I am that Golden is a Daddy! He will do so great! It is weird that i can't be there with him, cause we live on opposite sides of the country, but I know i will see him sometime:) I miss him so much. So Congratulations Golden & Carly, and Welcome to the world Porter. Your Auntie April loves you so much!

The Verdict is in...

So we went to the Doctor today and had an ultrasound! I was so excited to find out the sex of this baby. The Technician was really nice, and said she would try her best to find it:) She did all her measuring business, and was nice enough to show us the heart, and stomach, and Spine... I really wanted to know what it was though:) So anyway, she said she thought she knew what it was but needed to get a better angle. Well, she did, and told us that she was almost positive that it was a BOY! We are so happy! I can't wait to get him out of me so i can see his little face:) She couldn't get any profile shot because he was looking straight at us the whole time...beggar:) So sadly i will have to wait to get the beloved profile picture until the next ultrasound. I just wanted to let everyone know, who doesn't already know:)

Circus Fun!

Last night, we took Bailey to her first circus! It was pretty fun, except Bailey was a little grumpy. I think she was just tired, did get a long enough nap:) It was the Shriner Circus. Matt's great uncle is a Shriner. It was cool to see all the acrobatics and fun animals. There were Ponies, elephants, camels, and you could even have your picture taken with a baby bear:) I actually haven't been to the circus ever, so technically it was my first time too:) We loved it!

16 Weeks Doctors Appointment

I had my 16 week check up yesterday, and everything went great! We finally got to hear the heartbeat. It was so amazing! It is a great feeling to know that everything is going well so far:) I have my 20 week ultrasound, to find out what i am having, on May 6th:) I can't wait, just 4 more weeks and i can start calling this baby by name:) Yes, we have names:) I am not telling yet though. You never know, we could change our minds. Anyway, all is well in baby land.

Your baby now weighs about 2.8 ounces, and measures about 4.3 to 4.6 inches long. You may have an ultrasound scheduled soon which may tell you, if you want to know, whether it is a boy or a girl. Your baby's fingernails and toenails are now fully formed, and internally your baby's urinary tract and bladder are functioning, emptying about once every hour.
