House of the Lord

Last night Matt and I had the opportunity to go to the temple. We haven't been in a while actually. After what happened with losing our son, Bradley, I have been prompted over and over again to attend the temple. Well, our temple had been closed, but i couldn't escape the nagging feeling that we needed to go. So we made the arrangements. When we got there, it was so beautiful. All the Flowers were blooming and the fountain out front was running. It was so peaceful. I knew immediately that this is where we needed to be. We went inside and saw that they needed couples to do Sealings. Matt and i haven't done a sealing since our own, so we decided it would be neat to try something new. I can't go into detail but we had such an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to be a proxy for some children. The Spirit hit me so strongly when the sealer was sealing these little girls to their parents. It is such an important ordinance. I could just picture these families in heaven rejoicing because they were finally together forever. I know the Lord's time table is different then ours, but i still wonder how long these people have to wait to have their work done. It blows my mind how much more there is still to do. Matt and I have made a goal to go to the Temple once a month so that one day we will meet all those that we have done work for. I love the temple, and i am so grateful that i can go. The Gospel is true, I know it. I know my sweet little angel is mine forever. I am thankful that i was able to feel the spirits of those little girls who are with their parents now. I am especially grateful that i could share this experience with Matt, he is such a good man. I love him so much. Thank you for reading, I hope this inspires everyone, who can, to go to the temple because it will bless your life.

Day At the Zoo

Yesterday we went to the Denver Zoo. Bailey and I went with Diane,(Matt's step mom) Aiden, Rowyn (Cousins), Jill(Aunt), Sophie, and Flynn (Cousins). Diane's Grandson Zach came along too:) We saw a lot monkeys and birds. Bailey was especially happy to see the flamingos, because they are pink:) We saw the elephants and cheetas. There is also a petting zoo there with goats and a turtle. It was pretty fun. The best part for the kids was probably the carousel ride and the train ride. They loved it! Afterwards we all went to Applebees for lunch. Bailey's hair was so curly by the time we got home, because of the humidity, that I had to take pictures.

My Family

I just thought I would write a blog about how much I love my sweet husband and daughter. We have so much fun together. For the 4th we went to Matt's sisters house and had a party for her and then went and saw the best fireworks ever! And the night before we went to his other sisters and had dinner and went and saw fireworks. It is so great to have family time. Matt is always really good about going out with me, even if he doesn't really want to. He knows that I need to be social. I am grateful for Bailey. She is so energetic and fun. I took her to Bear Creek Lake on Saturday with a friend, and she had so much fun playing in the sand and water. She is just full of life. I couldn't have asked for a cooler kid:) So anyway, here are so pictures of my sweet Matty and Bailey Kaye.
