December so far...

Sorry I haven't posted for a while but it seems I never get time to myself these days. December has been a good month so far, lots of shopping, baking, parties, ya know that usual:) It has been snowing a lot here lately, so it is freezing! We are heading to UT for Christmas to be with my family, who I haven't been with for Christmas in 6 years. I am so excited! Here are some pictures of the festivities thus far:)...
Seriously, how cute is this picture. All I can think of is Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. It was an early Christmas present from her Grandparents, one of many:)
Yeah, Christmas cookies! We had tons of fun making these. I wish I would have taken pictures during the process:)
Bailey puting an ornament on our tiny tree:)
We had a blast decorating!
Bailey and I made this advent calendar! It was really fun, but took hours. I couldn't find any at the stores that I liked. It was more fun this way anyway:)
Merry Christmas Everyone!

40th Wedding Anniversary

My Parents celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary today. In a world where it seems like marriage means very little, it is so refreshing to see 2 people so dedicated to each other still. I love my parents very much and am so grateful for their example in all things, especially marriage. They have had more tough years than I know, but they stick together and live the gospel, and that's how they stay so close. I admire how respectful they are of one another, and their playfulness too. You can tell that they are still so in love. Love is easy, Life is what makes marriage hard. And so, I want to thank my parents for not letting the little or big things in Life ruin their Love, for each other, or for their children. They are the most unselfish, kind, inspiring, loving, and faithful parents. I love them with all my heart. Congratulations Mom & Dad!

Twilight Review!

So I went to the 10 pm showing of Twilight last night. In my opinion is was really good. I thought they stayed pretty true to the book, which made me happy. I was a little disappointed in the Meadow scene, i think i just pictured it differently in my head. Overall, I thought the movie was very entertaining and Edward was pretty cute too:) The Character I didn't like was Eric, was he supposed to act so flamboyant? Anyway, if you haven't seen it, go, it is great! I can't wait for the others to come out:)

Trip to Maryland!

So I went to MD on from the 5th to the 12th. I am just now getting the chance to write about it. I got in on Wednesday afternoon. Let me just say that Bailey was terrible. I mean I wanted to die. She threw one fit after another. I was ready to get out of the airport. Shannon was supposed to pick me up but wasn't there. I thought well, maybe she wanted to pick me up outside, so I lifted my 45 pound bag, Car seat, purse, & held onto Bailey while we went outside and across the street. We waited...no one. So we went back inside, and hung out for a while. I hate not having a cell phone! So asked the customer service desk if I could use their phone to call Shannon. I was so glad she picked up, she had gotten lost in Baltimore and was finally almost at the airport. We waited for like an hour there. So she get there and we had a pretty good time with her and her husband, Erik. We went to Olive Garden, and did some shopping the next day. It was so good to see her. Next I went to my sister, Jeri's and hung out. My brother, Golden came over with his wife, Carly and son Porter, so cute! I wish I could've hung out with him more but he had business trips scheduled the whole time I was there. The next day I went to stay with Amanda. We had such a good time getting ready for her Baby Shower. She got a lot of great stuff. It was nice to hang out with her and her husband, Nick, who Bailey really liked:) They also had 2 dogs and 2 cats that Bailey loved a lot. I spent the weekend with them and then ended up back at Jeri's for the last 3 days of the trip. I am so glad that Bailey and Natalie, my niece got a long so well. they of course had their moments of jealousy, but overall did great. We had a b-day party for Chase, and he loved all the attention! It was good being with Jeri, I miss her a lot.I was also nice and getting to know Carly a lot better while I was there. She is so great! She took me to the airport on Wednesday and Porter cried the almost the whole way there, she was a trooper though, even though i could tell it was making her so sad. Bailey and I sat in the airport for 3 hours because our flight was delayed. Bailey was, fortunately, really great on the flight home. We got to our house around midnight and went right to sleep. It was a good trip:)

Happy Halloween & Birthday!

We have had a really busy week. First last Thursday was story time and a Halloween parade around the library. Bailey was not in the best mood but still did fine and was happy to be getting candy. Friday was Halloween. We went to Matt's Grandma's and met up with all of Bailey's cousins...Aiden, Rowyn, Sophie, & Flynn. Needless to say, Bailey was in a terrible mood again because I woke her up too early from her nap. We tried to take some pictures, but you know how hard it is to get 5 kids under 4 to sit still?:):) Bailey was Cinderella this year, and i must say, she looks exactly like her. She was beautiful! Matt;s mom actually made her dress, she is amazing! We went trick or treating around the neighborhood, and the kids had a blast, especially Sophie, who decided to walk into someones house and make herself comfortable on their couch. It was hilarious. (Sophie is just under 2 yrs old) I laughed so hard, luckily the guy had a good sense of humor too:) After the kids got tons of candy we headed to Matt's sister, Heather's house for some yummy Chili and we let the kids play. Halloween was pretty fun even if Bailey had her up's and downs:)

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Sunday, we celebrated Bailey Turning 3 Years old! I can't even believe it. She is so big and gorgeous. I never thought i would have such a wonderful, sweet, ornery, smart, sassy, funny, I could go on forever...child. I am so blessed to have her in my life. The party was fun, it was a Princess Party (Belle). Krista, Matt's sister has the same birthday as Bailey, so we have been celebrating them together. We couldn't have asked for a better birthday twin for bailey. Krista loves her a ton, and bailey loves her too. We just had cake and ice cream and lots of presents. Bailey got lots of art things and stickers and puzzles. She got a few really cute outfits, and Sleeping Beauty the movie, which she watch 5 times today:) Bailey happened to get sick last night though with a temp. of 101.6 for most of the night. Poor thing, so she layed around most of the day and played with her new things. Tonight, Matt & I took her to Red Lobster and they sand to her and she got to eat ice cream. When we got her home she had a fever again, so she went to bed. I hope she feels better soon, I think i may take her to the Doctor tomorrow. Anyway, we love this little fire cracker God blessed us with. Happy 3rd Birthday Baby:) We Love You!

Best Day Ever (For Bailey)

So today was a total Bailey day. I feel like i haven't been paying as much attention to her as she wants so i dedicated to day to her. We started off going to The Museum of Nature and Science with my friend, Jessica, and her little boy, Cameron. It was a blast. We saw the dinosaur exhibit, wild life, fossils, and they played in the discovery kids area. She had so much fun playing with puzzles, looking through microscopes, and playing in a giant vat of bubbles. Then we came home, ate lunch and decided to go over her cousin for a play day. So she got to play with Aiden and Rowyn for a few hours, which was nice for me cause i got to visit with Heather. After that, she was pretty tired. I ad my scrap booking group tonight so she got to have a Daddy daughter night. He took her to the store and bought her a fairy princess barbie(on clearance). They also got lots of Halloween candy which has mysteriously diminished in the last 3 hours:) Anyway, she told me it was the best day ever! I had to agree, it was really fun for me too:)

Update

So I feel like I have been MIA lately:) I have just been really busy. I was watching my niece, Rowyn, and Nephew, Aiden 3 days a week, but that has ended. It was a pretty good experience. I really enjoy kids so we had a pretty good time. I also received a new calling at church which scared me a lot at first. I am now the first counselor in the Primary Presidency. Today was my first time conducting and i was pretty nervous. Matt is in the primary too so that helped calm me. Everything went really well, so I was happy. I can't believe how many meetings the primary has. I have 5 things I have to be at just this month. It is crazy. Bailey's 3rd Birthday is coming in 2 weeks and i am throwing her a Beauty & the Beast party. She has a Bell dress and everything. She is so excited. Here are a few pictures of the kids from October... Aiden and Bailey making brownies:)
Rowyn looks like a throwback to the 80's.

Fun Weekend

This past weekend was packed with fun stuff. We went to 2 Rockies games, one had fireworks that were totally awesome. Seriously, the kind that make your insides pound. Bailey went to that game with us, and loved it! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures at the games. We also went to Georgetown, CO. It is a about a 30 minute drive into the mountains to get there. It is a historic town with cute Victorian houses and a real train that actually takes people on tours. It was so fun, we went with Matt's Dad, Step-mom, His sister, Heather and her family. The train ride was so beautiful. We rode through the mountains and over a really high bridge, and got to see old mines and beautiful trees which are starting to change color. It was great. After the train we drove through town and looked at all the old houses and found this awesome park with a playground. It was huge and looked like a castle. The kids had the best time there. Bailey got to plat with Matt's dad's new puppy there and loved it. Matt hates dogs, so it was nice that she got to ply with one since we will probably never have one:) Anyway, it was an awesome weekend. I am still a little tired actually:)

Rockies Game

We went to the Rockies game yesterday. It was a day game. It was pretty fun, except Bailey wasn't as cooperative as the last time. It was still good though. So I have to tell this story...Matt went to buy a soda and he got up to the counter and asked for a diet coke. The Girl said " did you say diet coke?" Matt, " yes" Girl " You know that's bad for you, right?" Matt,"I know all soda is bad for you." Trying to laugh. Girl," But diet coke is really bad for you." Matt, " OK". She hands him his drink and says, "Enjoy having cancer." Isn't that the weirdest thing you have ever heard? Matt was so annoyed. I told him to call someone in charge of vendors and tell about that girl's horrible customer service. It was pretty much the strangest experience we have ever had at a Rockies game.

New Hair

So usually I have my hair dresser color my hair because I am kind of picky about it, but it's like 100 bucks every time I go. I had my friend, Tyler, do it this time. I really like it, but it is so much blonder than I usually go. Let me know your opinion....:)

Blondies:)

I think sometimes we forget how much fun it is just doing something one on one with our kids. Or maybe that is just me:) Anyway, I was inspired by my cousin, James's, cooking blog. I saw that he had a recipe for Blondies. I have never made blondies and decided it might be fun to make them with Bailey. We had such a good time. Bailey is a great chef:) It made me realize how big she is getting and how smart she is. I totally miss having her be a baby, but i love this new curiosity for life and learning. It is so fun when you stop and take time to notice the great things that kids do. I love being a mom. It's so worth it:)

Rockies Game

Today was such a fun day. Matt took off work today, just to take Bailey and I to a Rockies day game. It is less crowded during a day game, so it is nicer for Bailey. We ended up going like 2 hours early so we could eat lunch there and get some autographs. We got Subway for lunch, yum:) It was probably the bet time I have ever had at a Rockies game, even though they lost. We got 6 autographs. Bailey got to see Dinger, the mascot, and Matt got a whole bunch of autographs he has been trying to get for a long time. We walked around a lot and took Bailey to the play ground there, and then we got ice cream sundaes. It was so nice to have a family day in the middle of the week:) I loved it:)
